Ingredient Spotlight : Hyaluronic Acid

Ever since I started using a serum with hyaluronic acid, my skin has literally been glowing. I have known about this as an ingredient for ages, but I never realized how much my skin needs it. I have dry skin, so using a serum with hyaluronic acid does wonders.

Hyaluronic Acid is a molecule found naturally in our skin, and it actually binds moisture to our skin. It can hold many times it weight in water, and that why this miraculous ingredient is so wonderful. It can help plump up skin from the inside, and your skin will appear dewy and plump.

Hyaluronic Acid serum can be used on almost every single skin type, and it will benefit even acneic skin. It literally binds water to the skin from deeper layers of the dermis, as well as the enviroment, creating a plump, dewy appearance.

Hyluronic Acid can also be injected into the skin via injection as a dermal filler, which can add volume to areas of the skin that may have become sallow through the natural aging process. I have not tried this from of hyaluronic acid just yet- but you never know, I just might one of these days.

Since hyaluronic acid is a naturally occuring molecule in our body, sometimes we can be lacking in it, and the lack of it can cause eye problems, skin problems, and even joint problems. Becausof this, hyaluronic acid can also be ingested, to help heal from within.

This post is not brand specific, because there are different brands out there, and what works for me, may not work for you! Just know that molecule size matters. The smaller the moleculee size, the greater chance it has of being absorbed into your skin. Do your research on brands. I can not wait to hear what you guys find out! Tell me in the comments if you have tried hyaluronic acid, and your thoughts.

Until next time,

xoxo Jennalee
